We announce the death of Donald R. Newman of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 87. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Newman and Essie Newman (Jones); his wife Sharon Newman; his daughter Amy Nading; and his siblings, Bill, Ronald, Robert, Gary Newman, Barbara Jones and Phylis Lampson.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Clark (Jake), Penny Newman Garcia, Don Newman (Henry) and Kelly Quinby; his grandchildren, Scott, Robert Clark, Michael Vega, Angie, Eric Garcia, Austin Edwards, Ashley Quinby, Priscilla Tolefree, Kayla and Brittany Dahlberg; and his pet Buster. He is also survived by great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
