She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman Hargrove and Georgia Hargrove (Russell); and her siblings, Thomas Hargrove, James Ernest Hargrove, Paul Hargrove, Albert, Dorthy Sue Goodman (Hargrove) and Gladys Brandt (Hargrove).
She is survived by: her husband Donald L. Akers; her children, Linda Stauberson (Akers) and Donald P. Akers; her daughter-in-law Stacy Akers; and also Donald Akers. She is also survived by one grandson, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren.
