He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Christiansen and Hilma W. Christiansen (Nelson); his uncle Hiram; his aunt Lilly Snow; his brother-in-law John Evans; and his close friend Lindsay McKinney.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his daughter Beth Christiansen Grady (Peter) of Roscoe; his granddaughters, Ashlee, Madeline and Payton; his sister Carol Evans of Rockford; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Morey (George) and Ken Shipley (Cathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
