He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Massingill and Betty Massingill (Duvall); his wife Tina Mansfield; his son Elbert Kenneth Massingill Jr.; his siblings, Robert Lee Massingill, Frank Massingill, Zettie Douglas, Wiladean Monroe and Mildred Davis; and his friend Marlene Earls.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Himes (Ron); his grandchildren, Heidi Schnulle (Jason), Ryan Himes (Jolyn) and Jen Martin (Brad); his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Schnulle, Waylon Schnulle, Alec Martin, Miles Himes, Madelyn Martin and Eli Himes; and his sister-in-law Judy Massingill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
