It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eloise Anderson of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Phillips and Eudene Phillips; her husband Carl "Bert" Anderson; and her siblings, Hazel Sharpe, Bertha Dotson, Eugene Phillips and Rudolph Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughter Carla Potter (Aaron); her brother Johnny Phillips (Sandra); her nephew Bobby Dotson; Judy Hauser (Jim) and Connie Nicholson (Ken). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Eloise asked for people to honor her in the following ways: Teach someone to read or read to someone since reading was such an important part of her life.
