He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Leroy Edwards, Fern Edwards, and Lois Linder; wife: Ana Edwards (Ervin); daughters: Nieves Walston (Dennis), Maribel Struven (Steven), and Virginia Aguilar; grandson: Noah "Goo" Aguilar; siblings: Eugene Edwards, Elaine Edwards, Eddie Edwards, Elvin "Pete" Edwards, and Ellen Edwards; best friend: Guillermo "Willie" Aguilar; pet: Fluffy (cat); and many others who considered him a dad, grandpa, or poppop, as well as many special and beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church (1629 S 6th St, Rockford, IL 61104). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
