He was predeceased by: his parents, Sig Young and Lela Young (Maynard); his daughter Debra Young Case; his great grandchild Rayne Vandiver; his siblings, Carl Young, Hazel Shipman and Evalene Roberts; and his former wife Mildred Grace Young.

He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Tooley; his sons, Rick and John Young; his grandchildren, Chelsi Vandiver (Case), Corey Case and Cody Case; his great grandchildren, Storm and Serenity Vandiver; his sister Patsy Boyd; and his pet Missie Mae. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
