She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Vegrzyn and Frances Rose Vegrzyn (Debosik). She is survived by: her husband Kurt Schoening; her children, York Schoening and Brooke Wahlquist (Patrick John); her stepchildren, Tari Pinnock (Brian) and Rick Schoening (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Nolan Wahlquist, Brendeon Schoening (Felicia), Arden Grijalva (Carlos) and Liam Schoening (Aurelia); and her great grandchildren, Lucas Grijalva and Bella Grijalva.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Atwood Center (2685 New Milford School Rd, Rockford, IL 61109).
