With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary G. Omark (Rockford, Illinois), who passed away on September 15, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Omark and Violet Omark; his former wife Nancy; and his sister Susan Drager (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Dawn Griffis; his daughters, Marcy Carlson (Tim) and Shelly Hall (Jim); his stepdaughters, Rhonda Hofbauer, Kristi Juarez and Anita Countryman; his grandchildren, Kiley Wallden (Sam), Meggie Shanks (Wyatt), Meredith, Attali Hall, Kaleb Carlson, Abbey Sturm (Jerome), Zachary, Sharlee Hofbauer, Frank (Vickie), Justina (Kyle), Lily Juarez, Kayla Countryman (Blake) and Kenslie Patch (Jackson); and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Fletcher Wallden, Wyler, Lydia Shanks, Eleanor Sturm, Liam Dieterman, Brynlee and Jace Patch.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory - Mulford (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Free Rockford (2223 N Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall at the Church.
