It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon E. Hanstad of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Hanstad and Mildred Hanstad (Jacobsen). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Marcia Spon (Jim), Mark Hanstad (Dina) and Marlin Hanstad (Susan); his grandchildren, Emily Herod (Josh), Andrew Spon (Shannon), Ryan Hanstad (Olivia), Sarah Daley (Joe) and Chris Hanstad (Allison); and his great grandchildren, Austin, Annabelle, Abigail, Olivia, Harrison, Charlie, Lucy, Evelyn, Winnie, Gordon and Roman.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Crosspoint Church (3215 E State St, Rockford, IL 61108).
Memorials may be made to Crosspoint Church, or Rockford Rescue Mission where Gordon served as an elder.
