In loving memory of Gordon John Walstrom of Rockford, Illinois, who departed this world on July 19, 2025 at the age of 98. Gordon John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tore Erickson and Gerda Erickson (Carlson); his siblings, Gloria, Ruth and Ralph; and his cousin Herbert A. "Hub" Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Ann Walstrom (Dickerson); his nieces, Rhonda Walstrom-Tripp (Ken) and Debra Walstrom-Wagner (Tom); his granddaughter Barbara Nickell; and his close friends, Wil, Amelia Nakai, Clay and Dana Bethuy. He is also survived by cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home (925 3rd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Scandinavian Cemetery (1700 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107).
