He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Daughtry and Lillian Daughtry (White); his son Mark Daughtry; and his stepfather Ronald Monroe. He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Daughtry; his children, Michael Daughtry and Theresa Paltzer (Mark); his grandchildren, Nicholas Daughtry, Hannah Daughtry, Wyatt Paltzer (Daisy) and Mitchell Paltzer; his brother Jesse E. Daughtry (Gail); and his extended family Jennifer Lotz-Daughtry.
