He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin "Ben" Hoffman and Gertrude Hoffman (Moyer); and his brother Robert Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Jaeger; and his sons, Alan Hoffman (Theresa) of Bellevue, NE and Jeffrey Hoffman (Linda) of Loves Park, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
