He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gesmer and Henrietta Gesmer (Nicholas). He is survived by: his wife Louise Okrent; his children, Amy Gesmer-Packman (Daniel) of Boulder, CO, James Gesmer (Mary) of Rockford and Daniel Gesmer of Boulder, CO; his grandchildren, David Packman (Megan), Hannah Packman (Brendan), Aaron Gesmer (Rachel), Adam Gesmer and Joseph Gesmer; his sister Karyl Golden; and his caregivers, Jurga, Marta and Alma.
