Jean E. Marsala Obituary
We announce the death of Jean E. Marsala of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 68. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oris Conness and Carolyn Conness; her parents-in-law, Sam and Marie Marsala; her siblings, Mary Blume, Kathy Peterson and David Conness; and her brother-in-law Jim Dennis.
She is survived by: her husband Randy Marsala; her daughter Brittany Olson; her son-in-law Daniel Olson; her grandchildren, Sam and Vivianna; her siblings, Dan Conness, Don Conness (Sarah) and Linda Conness; and her siblings-in-law, Steve Peterson, Linda Dennis and Sandy Conness. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, to be designated to a charity of their choice at a later date.
