It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie B Parham of Rockford, Illinois, born in Charleston, Mississippi, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sr. Sledge and Mary Sledge; her spouse O. D. Flint; her grandchildren, Vanzell, Martini and Martia; her great grandchildren, Deovanee, Tyrone and Tobias; her children, A'lee, Zamarye and Markel; and her brothers, Harvey, George, Clarence, Arthur and Robert Sledge.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Russell, Ora "Bay" Flint, Eugene Flint, Terry Flint, James Flint Sr. (Christy) and Martez Flint; her siblings, John Sledge, Eddie Sledge, Fannie Foote, Crystal Ora Sledge, Barbara Moye (Eli) and Shirley Sledge; and her godson Alonzo Ponds. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren.
