She was predeceased by: her husband Pat; her children, Karen Shafer and Patrick Gendron; and her brother Thomas Cantarano. She is survived by: her children, Paul (Michele), Tom (Traci), Larry (Margie), Maureen Maguire (Jim) and Dennis (Trina); and her children-in-law, Gael Shafer (Peggy) and Sherri Gendron. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
