We are sad to announce that, on January 5, 2026, at the age of 86, Joan Towne of Rockford, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth A. Bennett and Marion V. Bennett; her husband Rodney Towne; her former husband William Hanson; her brother Edward Bennett; and her grandson Kyle Millard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheri Brown, Connie Lenstrom, Lori Millard and Rita Hanson; her grandchildren, Tim, Tanya, Jessica, Brian, Kendra, Jacob, Miranda and Brooklyn; her sister Laurel Birch (Dave); her nephew Todd Pennington (Nicoletti Lingrosso); her great-nephew Samuel Pennington; and her close friends, Margie, Marilyn and Tony. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
