He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benson and Gunhild "Gunny" Benson; his wife JoAnn Tiehen; his son Kent; and his son-in-law Bill Jonnard.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen (Jonnard); his granddaughter Karen Jonnard of Boise, ID; his son Craig; his daughter-in-law Katie Benson of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Morgan, Brooke and Connor; his son Kirk; his sister Jill Porzel; Sarah Benson of Mount Prospect, IL, Tommy, Danny and Jerry Porzel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's honor to the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford or the Third Presbyterian Church.
