He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Coleman and Annie Coleman; and his brothers, Robert Isaiah Coleman and Ted Coleman. He is survived by: his wife Carrie Coleman; his children, Anthony Coleman, Sonja Coleman, Leticia Coleman and Jonathon Coleman; his grandchildren, Durrell, Myquan, Breauna and Carl Jr.; and his siblings, Betty Harris, Elizabeth Howell, Jesse Coleman and Alonzo Coleman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115).
