He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Heavlin and Betty Heavlin (Campbell); and his siblings, Wayne Heavlin Jr. and Julie Salyers. He is survived by: his children, John Heavlin Jr. of Rockford and Paula Patterson (Brian) of Rockford; and his sister Linda Heavlin of Rockford.
