We bid farewell to John Z. Szleszinski of Rockford, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 25, 2025 at the age of 85. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Szleszinski and Anna Szleszinski (Schowron); his son Gregory Szleszinski; and his brothers, Leon Szleszinski (Darlene), Peter Szleszinski, Ignace Szleszinski (Helen) and Felix Szleszinski (Mae).
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Peterson; his sons, Randall Szleszinski, Carl Szleszinski (Kathy) and Daniel Szleszinski; and his grandchildren, Tawny Decorie (Jon), Trisha Nhanesana (Thavi), Jon Szleszinski (Carly), Megan Szleszinski and Ryan Szleszinski. He is also survived by grandkids, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
