With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine K. Maggio Benassi of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 12, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlo Adrignola and Lucy Adrignola (Mirto); her former husband Salvatore Maggio; her husband Carlo Benassi; and her brothers, Sam Adrignola (Anne), Leonard Adrignola (Mary) and Anthony Adrignola (Chris).
She is survived by: her sons, Matthew Maggio (Linda), Carl Maggio (Beverly) and David Maggio (Cheryl); and her stepchildren, Theresa Powles, Patsy Esther (Gene), Carl Benassi (Jean), Monica Larkin (Patrick), Roseann Salamone, Marcella Kramer (David), Anthony Benassi (Kathi) and Peter Benassi. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice Association, Cancer Association, and Heart Association. In memory of Josephine K.
