With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kelvin Swanson of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Swanson and Geraldine Swanson; and his brother DeWayne Swanson. He is survived by: his significant other Sherrie Swanson (Coad); his children, Michael Swanson (Joanna), Troy Swanson (Mimi) and Lindsie Combs (Aaron); and his grandchildren, Elisa Bradley (Nate), Ethan, Eli, Tyler Swanson (Allison), Collin, Lucas, Lilly, Brooklynn and Parker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berean Baptist Church (5626 Safford Rd, Rockford, IL 61101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the building fund of Berean Baptist Church, 1992 Shopiere Rd., Beloit, WI.
