He was predeceased by: his parents, Detroy Marshall, Sr. and Mary Marshall (Liza); his grandmother Henrietta Williamson; and his sisters, Audrey Minor, Betty Roby, Shirley McNeil, Patricia Hayes and Vivian Haggins.
He is survived by: his wife Sherri Fowler-Marshall; his children, Demeshia Henderson, Joshua Ramirez (Cassie Panozzo), Savannah Ferguson (Damon), Doug Dean (Sarah), Megan Dean (Katie), Josh Fowler and Brandon Fowler (Maddy); his siblings, Pauline Stokes, Evelyn Thomas (Roy), Kaye Allen, Detroy Marshall, Jr. (Debbie) and Curtis Marshall, Sr. (Sarita Sawyer); and his niece Jackie Lofton (Frank). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, numerous other nephews and nieces.
