He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Espy and Ione Espy (McDaniel); his son-in-law Kim Haws; his siblings, Lad, Lanny, Ed, John, Randy and Annie Johnson; and his brother-in-law Robert Bolte Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Dawsey; his daughters, Brenda Haws-Lutz (John) and Debra Espy; his grandchildren, Kim Haws II (Katie), Kyle Haws, Charlotte Haws (Darin), Zachary Haws, Lisa Roderick (Brian) and Andrew Brunner; his great grandchildren, TJ, Emerson, Mason, Nova, Casey, Dominic, Alex and Adalyn; his nieces, Sarah (Eric) and Meghan; and his nephew Robert (Cori). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
