With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Runestad of Rockford, Illinois, born in Fargo, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Luverne T. Runestad and Barbara L. Runestad (Aarrestad); his brother Craig; and his brothers-in-law, Don Larson and Steven DeGutis.

He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Winzenried of Rockford; his sons, Christopher (Jennifer) of North Aurora, IL and Jonathan (Denise) of Machesney Park, IL; his grandchildren, Addison, Ethan, Samuel Runestad, Luke Freeman and Tayler Wells (Andrew); his great grandchild Isla; his brother Paul Runestad (Mary); his sisters-in-law, Vicki Runestad, Janet Larson, Joyce Antczak (Jack), Joan Stockburger (Bob) and Judy DeGutis; and his pets, Bentley and Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
