He was predeceased by: his parents, Erick Erickson and Alice Crist Erickson; his son Tom; his brother Gordon Erickson; his nephew Chuck Erickson; and his brother-in-law Wendell Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Gustafson; his sons, Chris Erickson (Jodi) and Ted Erickson (Diane); his grandchildren, Leslie Erickson, Megan Carlson (Paul), Scott Erickson, Jeff Erickson (Chelsea), Abbi Erickson, Ben Erickson and Karlee Duehn (Dan); his great grandchildren, Luke, Max, Lauren Carlson, Graham, Reed Erickson and Macey Duehn; and his sisters, Sharon Anderson (Wendell), Crystal Schachterle (Mike) and Joan Erickson (Gordon).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Free Church (2223 N Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61107).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Evangelical Free Church or Kids Around the World.
