It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine Loretta Kovanda of Rockford, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Burokas and Anna Burokas (Rehorek); her husband Louis Laddie Kovanda; and her daughter-in-law Terry Kovanda. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Kovanda and Gary Kovanda (Jeanne); her grandchildren, Karen Posch (Rob), Nicole Kovanda (Ryan Schmidtbauer), Kimberly Kovanda (Jeremiah Zachwieja) and Bradley Kovanda; her great grandchild Leighton Louis Zachwieja; Linda O'Connor and Josh Woodbury-Phipps.
