He is survived by: his children, Tasha Cooper, Tina Russey (Ben) and Lucius Suggs Jr.; and his siblings, Charlean McBride, Carmen Young (Eddie), Annie Nelson (Randy), Patricia Meola (Paul), J. C. Suggs (Charmayne) and Floyd Suggs. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends.
