He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sr. Thomas and Lelar Mae Thomas; his son Antonio Tate; his sisters, Denise McKinney, Diane Thomas, Kathy Lloyd and Barbara Thomas; and his uncle George White.
He is survived by: his children, Latoyia Tate, Latosha Tate, Antwon Tate and Anquan Tate; his siblings, Earl Thomas Jr., Calvin Thomas, Jamie Ellis, Dorothy Hawthorne (Charles), Shirley Adams and Ashia Triplett; and his aunt Mary Washington. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
