He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel T. Douglas and Faye S. Douglas (Schuman); and his aunt Minnie Schuman. He is survived by: his wife Kay Kendall; his children, Tom Douglas (Jeanny) of Rockford, Tracy Palmer (David) of Rockford and Barbara Douglas-Johnson (Eric) of Rockford; and his grandchildren, Evelyn Johnson, Sadie Beachey, Hannah Buzzard (Tyler), Natalie Burgess (Trevor), Andrew Johnson and Nate Douglas (Rachel).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crosspoint Church (3215 E State St, Rockford, IL 61108). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
