Maria Mendia Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 72, Maria Mendia (Rockford, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregorio Lopez Mendia and Jeronima Mendia (Martin); and her brother Raul Mendia. She is survived by: her daughter Flute Saenz; her son-in-law Jesse Saenz; her grandchildren, Leo, Noel and Olena Saenz; her siblings, Alfonso Mendia, Erasmo Mendia, Humberto Mendia and Aurora Mendia; and her boyfriend John Tibbet. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace Funeral & Cremation Services (4301 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61103). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in her memory to her family.
