She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Vella and Carmella Vella (DioGuardi); and her son Mark D. Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Johnson; her son Drew Johnson (Krista) of Lake Forest, IL; her grandchild Karis Johnson; and her cousin Darlene "DeeDee" Mahan Alderman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
