He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Joseph DeVlieger and Germaine DeVlieger (Claeyssens); his wife Violet E. Vollmer; and his brothers, Thomas and Frederick.
He is survived by: his children, Tom (Becky), Jim (Cheri), Steve (Chris), Bob (Christe), Kathi Engelkes (Mike) and Melissa Cieslica (Steve); his grandchildren, Amy Linder (Eric), Aaron DeVlieger (Abbey), Amanda Griffeth (Josh), Brad DeVlieger (Eliza), Sarah Palm (Evan), Rachel Shaner (Donald), Jordan, Emily DeVlieger (Joe Shugarman), Logan Engelkes (Brie), Trace Engelkes, Chris (Lauren), Matthew, Marissa, Mariah DeVlieger, Madelyn and Sophia Cieslica; his great grandchildren, Zach, Eli, Easton, Riley, Amelia, Jace, Noah, Desmond, Beckett, Thea, Zander, Cole, Naomi and Garth; his brother Dennis DeVlieger (Sandy); and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Greenlee (Gerald) and John Vollmer (Kim). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DeVlieger family to be established later.
