He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Peterson and Ione Peterson (Schwellenbach); his stepfather Myron Clark; and his grandson Daniel Poff. He is survived by: his wife Sally Peterson; his children, Laura Reetz and Scott Peterson (Karla); his grandchildren, Meghan Reetz, Bill Reetz (Sydney Lawrence) and Erin Poff; his great grandchildren, Emmaline Reetz, Madsin Lamendola, Roland Lamendola, Beckett Lamendola and Carly Poff; his stepson Doug Rice; his aunt Polly Peterson; his mother-in-law Dorothy Warriner; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Seely (Dennis), Chuck Warriner (Robin), Tom Warriner (Chris), Tim Warriner (Candi), Mike Warriner (Aloha), Dave Warriner (Rhonda) and Steve Warriner (Carmela). He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Beloit Youth Hockey Association or to the Wesley Willows Good Samaritan Fund.
