With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael B. Montalbano of Rockford, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney J. Montalbano and Rose A. Montalbano (Armato); his brother Krist Montalbano; and his nephew Mark Montalbano. He is survived by: his wife Joy Lambert; his children, Joanna Heffner (Rick) and Joseph M. Montalbano (Deva); his grandchildren, Jacob Heffner, Ericka Heffner, Bridget Heffner, Max and Enzo Montalbano; his great grandchildren, Vincent and Leo; his sister Lorraine Palm (Jay); and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Montalbano (Natalie), Jayson Palm (Tarrah), Julie Frizzell (Chad) and Melissa Payne (Mike). He is also survived by five great nephews and nine great nieces.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Pregnancy Care Center or to the family to establish at a later date.
