It is with sadness that the passing of Michael Dougherty (Rockford, Illinois) is shared. Michael, born on September 12, 1957 in Teaneck, New Jersey, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dougherty and Alice Kinslow of Mike; his brothers, Danny and Pete; and his daughter Carina.
He is survived by: his wife Marianne Darley; his son Tom; and his siblings, Marie, Pat, Nancy Brunner (Jerome), Sue, Steve and Annette Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sundberg Funeral Home (215 N 6th St, Rockford, IL 61107). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (428 N 2nd St, Rockford, IL 61107).
