Michael Markley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2025, at the age of 81, Michael Markley (Rockford, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Markley and Golda Markley; his brother Tom Markley; and his sister-in-law Donna Stalcup. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sons, Scott Markley (Kris), Jeff Markley (Julia) and Chad Markley (Shandeli); his grandchildren, Nick Markley (Hanna), Brooke Markley, Erin Caris (Andrew), Nathan Markley, Hope Markley, Meliyah Markley, Makena Markley and Matt LeRay; his brother Den Markley (Jen); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Markley, Dr. Sharon Olson (Steve Olson) and Jerry Stalcup. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (925 5th Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
