He is survived by: his wife Loretta Burgess; his children, Jennifer Stodola (Ken), Michael Thompson, Jr. (Missy), Debbie Pike (Kevin), Shelley Thompson and Joe Thompson; his grandchildren, Alysson Sandahl (Josiah), Kaleb Stodola, Tasa Diehl (Scott), Danielle Thompson, Mikaela Thompson, Cameron Davis, Payton Davis, Ashley, Rachel, Jake, Ethan Pike, Abigayle, JoLynn and Jordan Thompson; his father-in-law George "Ed" Burgess; his sisters-in-law, Mary Thompson and Teresa Shriver; his nephew Daniel Shriver (Mexi); and his niece Suzie Shriver. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
