Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Michael leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his girlfriend Kathy (Darnell); his grandchildren, Bennett Gorman and Charlie Fell; his parents, Bud Way and Joyce Way; and his siblings, Dave (Rose), Brad (Julie) and Kathy (Stan Kline).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory - Mulford (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery - Winnebago/Rockford (8616 W State Rd, Winnebago, IL 61088).
