With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Olanders Butler of Rockford, Illinois, born in Durant, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 12, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Butler and Ellen Butler; his grandson Connor Hightower; and his siblings, Dorothy Felton, Johnny C. Cook, Gaston Butler, Phillip Butler Jr. and Julius Butler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Yolander Butler and Marqueta "Patty" Butler; his grandchildren, Terrence Griffin-Butler, Cedric Dale and Lyric Griffin-Butler; his brothers, William Butler (Nikki) and Jesse Butler (Regina); and his nieces, Tasha Felton Williams and Tonya Felton. He is also survived by nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. (200 N Johnston Ave, Rockford, IL 61101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
