He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Ripley and Constance M. Ripley (Olson); his parents-in-law, George and Christina Catcott (Enna); his uncle Jim Olson; his aunt Dolly Olson; and his brother-in-law Joseph Gulatto.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Catcott Ripley; his children, Jonathan W. Ripley (Jessica Buffo) and Rebecca C. Hernandez (Chris); his granddaughter Ryleigh Ripley; his sisters, Margaret and Ellen Gavic (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Denny Gulotta (Wendy) and Shirley Gulatto. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was a long term blood donor, having donated gallons and gallons throughout his adult life. His family believes in organ/tissue donation, and his body has been donated to science to study the long term effects of the ravages of COPD.
