With solemn reverence, we commemorate Peter A. Keffer of Rockford, Illinois, whose life came to an end on July 20, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard W. Keffer and Lenore Keffer (Nash); his brothers, Rich, Walt and Joe Keffer; and his brother-in-law Tom Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo (Allen); his children, Kathy Walls (Chris), Peter Keffer, Jr. and Kristi Smith (Mike); his grandchildren, Dan Walls (Kate), Kim Walls (Neil Pohl), Caleb Keffer (Adrianna), Marianne Smith, Katie Smith, Margaret Smith and Cooper Keffer; his great grandchild Noah; and his siblings, John Keffer and Lenore Arcuri.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107).
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to Boylan Catholic High School.
