He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Grant Baer and Lola Baer (Lundberg); his former wife Nancy Baer (Kindstrom); his son-in-law Scott Swift; and his stepson Stephen Miley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Baer (Westbrook Miley); his children, Julie Swift and Tim Baer; his brother Tom Baer; his stepson D. Douglas Miley (JoAnn); his daughter-in-law Pam Miley; and his grandchildren, Greg Swift (Lindsay), Caroline Keller (Chasen), Ashley Weger (Mitchell), Grant Baer, David Miley (Lindsey), Jen Mueller (Jared), Matt Miley (Renee) and Lauren Gallion (Blair). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
