It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard S. Brewster in Rockford, Illinois, born in Edgerton, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Northway and Vida Mae Brewster (Bartley); his grandson Johnathon Handy; his siblings, William "Bill" Brewster, Marian Majewski (Lawrence "Larry" Majewski), Nancy Smith (Robert "Bob" Smith) and Lucinda Brewster; and his nephews, Kraig Smith and David Fish.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Lou Burris; his children, Stacy Brewster, Rebecca Leist (Michael) and Steven Brewster (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Megan Miller (Matthew) and Jack McNulty; his great grandchildren, Ryker, Kessler, Eleanor and Isabell; and his siblings, Kenneth Lair (Cindy), Mary Brewster and Bea Rice (Joseph). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 1st 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bricks Venue Center (125 Walnut St, Cherry Valley, IL 61016).
