He is survived by: his mother Patricia Smead; his wife Fran Smead; his children, Victoria Schmitt (Marty), James Smead (Anna), Sharon Powell (Dave), Gerald Powell Jr., Timothy Powell (Tarra) and Heather Williams; and his brother William Smead Jr. (Chris). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 on the way;3 great grandchildren.
