He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric W. Johnson and Pearl Johnson (Collins); his son Eric R. Johnson; his sisters, Harriett Appleton (Westerman) and Dorothy Dennick; his siblings-in-law, Richard E. Theden, Robert E. Theden and Shirlee Theden; and his siblings' children, Larry Theden and Tina Theden.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Theden; his son Chuck; his daughter-in-law Dawn; his grandson Eric; his granddaughter-in-law Rachel; his great grandchildren, Benjamin Robert and Penelope Rose; and his sister-in-law Joan Theden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Free Rockford, Northern Illinois Hospice or The Rockford Rescue Mission.
