He was predeceased by: his close friends, Wally Leucht and Mike Cooney of Woodstock; his brother Timmy; his son Timmy; his parents, Harold and Edna; his brother Bill; his in-laws, Tom and Irene Cooney; and his friend Tim.
He is survived by: his wife Megan; his children, Tommy (Kayln) of Appleton and Christina (Fanio) of Neenah; and his grandchildren, Isaiah, Noah, Andrew, Nya, Elizabeth, Regina Caeli and Nio.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A vigil service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (428 N 2nd St, Rockford, IL 61107). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. This manifested itself throughout life in toys being bought for good grades, asking fellow officers to look the other way on speeding tickets, or hoarding more toilet paper that was allotted at the outset of the COVID Pandemic to make sure all 3 households were "covered.".
