We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2024, at the age of 89, Roger L. Anderson (Rockford, Illinois), born in Freeport, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Raymond "Ray" Anderson and Lorraine M. "Chick" Anderson (Grell); his brother Donald R. Anderson; his daughter-in-law Rev. Patricia Anderson; and his former wife Marjorie J. Anderson.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey S. Anderson (Yvonne) of Rockford, IL, Stephen G. Anderson (Diann) of Loveland, CO and Roger D. "Chip" Anderson (Cindy) of Winnebago, IL; his grandchildren, David Anderson (Katherine), Jonathan Anderson, Patrick Anderson (Tiana), Dr. Matthew Anderson (Mary), Carter Anderson and Ella Anderson; his stepgrandsons, Jimmy Johnson (Laura) and Jeffery Johnson (Grace); his great grandchildren, Luke, Grace, Jacob, Caleb, Ezekiel, Jordan, Avery Anderson, Hollyn, Robin and Charlotte Johnson; and his close friend Joy King.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Grace Funeral Home & Cremation Center (4301 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61103). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Funeral Chapel (4301 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61103).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospitals—arrangements made by Tony Gasparini Funerals.
